Pepe Reina quits Bayern for Napoli!

The former Liverpoor goalkeeper is all set to join Serie A side Napoli, after spending just one year with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich. The 32-year-old, who has 33 caps for Spain, made just three Bundesliga appearances last season.

The complete terms of the deal have not been disclosed yet, but Napoli announced the following statement on their website: “Pepe Reina is a player of Napoli.”

Reina spent nine years with Liverpool from 2005 to 2014. During this period, he won the FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Super Cup with the Merseyside club, before making way when the Reds brought in the Belgian goalkeeper Simon Mignolet at Anfield.

The Spaniard rejoined
former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez at Napoli on loan and was part of their Coppa Italia winning side. Last year, however, he joined Munich as a second goalkeeper to the ‘sweeper keeper’, Manuel Neuer.
