Liverpool sign Brazilian starlet Roberto Firmino

Liverpool have sealed the deal with Brazilian attacking midfielder, Roberto Firmino, for an exclusive transfer fee that is reported to be around £29 million. The 23-year-old Brazil international has agreed a five-year contract, worth more than a £100,000 per week.

Firmino, who had also been linked with a move to Old Trafford, is Liverpool’s 5th signing of the summer transfer window. Brendan Rodgers have already signed midfielder James Milner, striker Danny Ings, Adam Bogdan and Joe Gomez and they are also keenly interested to bring Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca at Anfield.

The gifted 23-year-old attacking midfielder has 9 caps and 4 goals for Brazil to date. Firmino scored for Brazil during their 2-1 over Venezuela on Sunday night as well. The Brazilian ace also made 151 appearances and scored 47 goals for Bundesliga side, Hoffenheim FC. He had a stunning 2014-15 season with Hoffenheim and he’s sure to play a key role in The Reds’ squad.

Could he be the man to end Liverpool’s decades-lasting winless run by helping them clinch the Premier League title this season?
