Mundo Deportivo, well informed Barcelona-based newspaper, have published exclusive information about a campaign of two big European powerhouses to sign Lionel Messi.
A newspaper devoted big attention in their Saturday edition to a possible transfer of one of two best players in the world.
‘Leo Messi is completely dedicated and faithful to the club in the moment when PSG and Chelsea are secretly working on a potential move. PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi was very clear with his associates: if the Argentine becomes available once, PSG must be in the pole position for the transfer’, it is written in the Spanish newspaper.
PSG had tried to bring Messi in the past year, but both Messi and his agents have refused to negotiate. Problems with UEFA and FFP could also be an insurmountable obstacle, since a the transfer couldn’t be worth less than nine figures. In the meantime, gossips about possible move to London also appeared.
‘Chelsea is also inquiring, although they know that Barcelona’s main star is dedicated to the club. Thus, they spoke with Cesc Fabregas and his wife, Daniella Semaan, about the ways Messi and his spouse could be brought to England’.
However, the title ‘Messi: No one but Barcelona!’ clearly indicates that current chances for a spectacular transfer, the biggest since Cristiano Ronaldo joined Real Madrid, are not big at all.
